Food for the Soul 4 ~ Psalm 46

"Be still and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
Psalm 46:10
When we visited Fun Valley in Southfork, Co, last year, my early morning walks were filled with scenes like the one above. It was an easy place to "be still" before the Lord. Living in the city, it takes a little more work to be still, but it is so worth it. God desires and deserves our full attention sometimes, all the time actually. Our days just move so much smoother and I can find meaning in the mundane when I have spent time being still before the Lord. He fills me up with the peace and understanding that can only come from him. Wishing you a peace-filled weekend, my friends.

  5. Oh so true...so easy to be still before God in the peace of the country but harder in the city with all it's hustle and bustle. Something I really need to work on...thanks for the beautiful reminder via your picture and post! Have a blessed week!
