Sweet corn on the cob has got to be one of my late summertime favorites. I used to be concerned about under or over cooking it. I've adopted a fool proof way to cook it on the stovetop and have it be the best sweetest corn on the cob ever...provided you get good corn to begin with ;-) This year it's been a little unpredictable on which ears would be crisp and which would be starchy. But when it's good...it's goooooood.
Shuck your ears of corn and put in a large pot. Fill with water and add in 1-2 Tbsp. sugar.
