When I went to the mailbox on Friday, I expected to open it and see the usual junk mail and possible bill. I was not prepared for the unexpected delight that lay nestled in the mailbox.
It was a package from my sweet friend, Sue. She was the one who set my husband and I up on a blind date and was the greatest role model in our decision to homeschool our kids. She's like a big sister to me and I treasure her friendship.
Anyway, inside was a sweet card that said Happy Birthday and a lovely gift. The funny thing is it's not even close to my birthday. She just saw it at a trendy little arts and crafts fair and thought of me. Isn't that just so sweet?
So, the unexpected delight is this adorable little wristlet with vintage inspired fabric. I adore this. From the sweet little birds to the cheerful colors, the whole thing just screams cuteness.
The inside is just as adorable as the outside. Just look at this beautiful fabric! This little gem was made by a company called Mill City Makery and they are out of Minneapolis.
I can't wait to start using this. However, I need to figure out the absolute necessities to take along in this little thing. My regular purse is more like giant grab bag. Reach inside and who knows what you'll find.
Also included in the package was this retro couple print. I'm not sure if it's supposed to represent my two kiddos or my husband and I. I'm thinking the latter. Don't we make an adorable couple? Anyway, I hope your weekend is full of your own unexpected delights. Thanks for letting me gush about mine.
