Spooky Soap Dispensers

I saw these adorable Halloween soap dispensers awhile back and thought they looked fun and easy to create. Sadly, I do not own a machine to cut vinyl, but I do have plenty of duct tape and electrical tape to make these Spooky Soap Dispensers. I seem to be the queen of making do. It's my lot in life ;-)
Meet Frank, Jack and Casper. All three characters started out as a basic bottle of liquid hand soap.
Your supplies for this craft are fairly simple, even more so if you have one of those super cool machines that cuts vinyl. Here's what you'll need for my version: bottle of liquid soap with the label peeled off and sticky residue removed, electrical tape, duct tape and scissors. You might need some ribbon if you intend to give as a gift.
Cut tape into desired shapes to achieve the faces you want.
Jack got a "retro" pumpkin look with triangle eyes and nose and a squiggly mouth.
Frank was the fanciest of all of them. Not only did he get colored duct tape for his eyes and mouth, but he got a little bling on the sides of his head with bolts stuck on with hot glue.
Now, wouldn't these guys just make darling teacher gifts or maybe even a hostess gift for a Halloween party? Maybe you are just looking for something to make it more festive around your house. Either way, this is an fun, easy, and inexpensive craft to do and the kids can help too.

  2. Hello Nici~it's so wonderful to be back visiting my friends seeing whats keeping everyone busy as we enter a new season.
This is such a fun and clever way to bring a little Halloween that's versatile. The bolts on Frankie was an adorably perfect touch.

I've been getting into fall fluffing, gathering a few bits and pieces from my yard that will be added to a centerpiece hopefully before the rain sneaks in.
Than you for sharing your inspiration.

    Sweet wishes,

  30. Good idea with the electrical tape! I made a wine bottle jack-o-lantern (http://www.re-creations.biz/2013/09/16/my-first-how-to/) and I wish I would have used tape for the face instead of painting it!!!
