Names of Jesus Christmas Wreath

Happy Saturday! Are we really just a little over two weeks away from Christmas? Amazing! I don't know about you, but I have a list of projects/recipes that I need to get to and just can't seem to pull them all together. One thing I did accomplish this year, however, is to make this Names of Jesus Christmas Wreath.
Eight years ago, I purchased this book for myself and a few friends at the after-Thanksgiving sale at Mardel's, a Christian Book Store. I thought it was cute and would make a fun gift.
Little did I know I would pull it out each year and pour over it like the latest Pottery Barn Catalog ;-) It is chock-full of Christmas ideas, poems, recipes and charming artwork. Ever since I purchased this sweet little book, I've been wanting to make this wreath.
There were no pictures of it in the book, just a little suggestion for making a "simple wreath to welcome your guest with the Names of Jesus on bright colored ornaments."
This year, I actually did make it. I simply took colored Christmas balls, a paint pen, some ribbon and a green wreath and got to work with my hot glue gun.
Jesus is called by many wonderful names in the Bible. He is called Light of the World, Gift of God, The Living Word, God with Us, King of Kings, Prince of Peace, Lamb of God, and the Bread of Life among many others.
I'm was so excited to add this wreath to my Christmas decorations this year, so that each time I walk up to the house, I am greeted with the sweet reminder of Who we are celebrating this time of year. I hope you, too, will be reminded of the Reason for the Season and that your heart will be filled with the love, joy and peace that come from knowing Him. Christmas blessings to you!

  17. This is absolutely wonderful! I am a worship leader at our church and I've written a Christmas song that we are doing this Sunday about the names of Jesus. I love your idea and want to use it for some ornaments at church. Our church is decorated beautifully and I think this will be a perfect addition to it. Such a great idea!
