Food for the Soul ~ Philippians 3:12-14

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:12-14One of our pastors spoke on these verses last week as a way to jump start the new year.  To say my heart was touched would be an understatement. He emphasized leaving behind not only our failures, but also our successes. For if we dwell on either, we lose sight of our dependence on Christ. The other side of the equation is straining toward what is ahead...what God has planned for us, resting in His presence and doing His will. These are lofty goals, but not impossible with God.

Sweet friends, may you leave behind all things that hinder your relationships this week and may you be blessed as you seek to do His will. Blessings to you!
