I Found an Hourglass!

Okay, so it's not an actual hourglass, but it is a really cool representation of one. In my New Year...New Mantel post, I eluded to the fact that I was on the hunt for an hourglass to round out the "time" theme of my mantel.

It wasn't long before I gave up looking for an actual hourglass and started hunting online for a graphic I could frame. I figured I needed to balance out the Watch Display on the other side of the mantel. Remembering others had found equally interesting pictures at the Graphics Fairy, I thought I'd give it a try. Sure enough, there was a graphic for a vintage hourglass. Yay! I printed it out on some aged-looking scrapbook paper, cut it to size and put it in a frame. Voila!
So, how many posts can one do on a mantel? Well, at least three...I just kept tweaking 'til I got it how I liked it. I'm satisfied now and will leave it alone for...a...really...long...time. I guess I better start working on the rest of the room now. ;-) Have you gotten your "after Christmas" look together yet? Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

  4. Homegoods has hour glasses. There were 3 or 4 different ones when I was there on Wed. I actually got one there this summer.
