Working on a Valentine's Vignette

My entryway table is undergoing some seasonal changes... I'm working on a Valentine's vignettte. I don't decorate the whole house for Valentine's Day, but I will decorate the entry table to reflect one of the greatest gifts God ever gave us...LOVE.
I keep tweaking it and trying to take pictures. But the lighting is such a booger in this spot, that it makes it difficult to take pictures without light glaring or total darkness. Mix the lighting issues with my indecisiveness and you've got a recipe for procrastination.
Here's what I had up a couple of days ago. It has changed a bit and I expect it to morph a little more before the week is done.  I'm expecting a visit from the vignette fairy today. You may have heard of her... Moni of Zu Haus at Home. She's my mom and she is very talented in bringing together lots of fun elements and making it all look beautiful.  I'm hoping for a little inspiration and direction from her. If you haven't had a chance to check out her blog, you should pop over and say hello to her. I know she'd love for you to visit. I'm off to get things cleaned up before her arrival. Hmmm, too bad I don't have a cleaning fairy to get the house in tip top shape!

I'm linking up at some of these great parties and

  4. I love that tree! You are lucky to have your Mom come help when you get stuck. I usually do the same...my Mom & sisters are always willing to lend a hand.
I'll pop over to your Mom's blog now.

  6. I made a similar tree using clear glass hearts that I coated with glitter on the inside. I've not seen the red hearts like you have - I like them!

  7. I'm with you, I don't decorate my house either for Valentine's day. But, I will do my entrance table. I did make something for my entrance and it came out a bit bigger then expected so now it's going on the dining table as a centerpiece.
