Food for the Soul ~ Ephesians 5:1,2

My sweetheart brought me this beautiful bouquet for Valentine's Day. There were several varieties of flowers in the bouquet, with many different aromas. My favorite of them is the sweet fragrance of the pink rose.  It is so fresh and vibrant; so distinct and beautiful.

As I ponder this verse of scripture about Christ being a fragrant offering to God, I want to imitate His love and sacrifice. I want others to know that I belong to Him because my character reflects Christ in everything I do and say. If we are in Christ, we should live our lives so that others recognize the beautifully distinct "fragrance" of Him when they are with us.

Have you ever walked by someone and been captivated by their perfume? Everyone wants to smell nice, right? So, you may ask them, "What fragrance are you wearing?" Then you would go try it on and maybe purchase it for yourself. Or maybe everyone you know can tell you are around because they smell that beautiful perfume you're always wearing. Wouldn't it be great if the "fragrance" you wore were Christ? And if someone didn't know Him, wouldn't it be wonderful to tell them whose "fragrance" you are wearing and how they could have it too?

May your week be a fragrant offering to the King of Kings this week! Blessings to you!
