Easter Candy Popcorn

If you are one of those families that has Easter candy left over (we're not), here's a recipe to incorporate all your favorites into deliciously sticky Easter Candy Popcorn. Even if you don't have leftover candy, you may want to buy some more just to make this!
Start with 10-12 cups of popped corn spread out in a jelly roll pan outfitted with a silpat mat. In saucepan, melt together butter, brown sugar and marshmallows. Pour over the popcorn, stirring to cover as much as you can.
Add in your favorite Easter candies. I used M&Ms and crushed Whoppers Robin Eggs. I think Reeses Pieces would be delicious in this too. Stir around to mix the candies into the sticky popcorn. Sprinkle with Easter sprinkles too.
Allow the popcorn to cool a bit before breaking it into pieces to enjoy! Store in an airtight container (if there is any left to store).

Easter Candy Popcorn

10-12 cups of popped popcorn
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 bag mini marshmallows
1 cup favorite Easter candy (M&Ms, Whoppers Robin Eggs, Reeses Pieces, etc.)

Place popped corn on a baking mat in a jelly roll pan (one with sides). In saucepan, melt together the butter, the brown sugar and the marshmallows. Pour over the popcorn, stirring to coat. Sprinkle candies over the popcorn and stir carefully to mix them throughout. Finish off with Easter sprinkles. Allow the popcorn to set up for at least 5 minutes, then break apart and serve or store in an airtight container.
This is the perfect snack to put on your dessert table at your Easter festivities, or for a fun family movie night. It's sticky goodness will remind you of those popcorn balls you grew up on mixed with your favorite candy. Now, start plotting how you will raid your kiddo's Easter baskets to get the goods!

  18. Yummy! I probably won't have leftover candy, but this recipe looks good enough that I might have to purchase some additional so I can have "leftovers!"
