Spring into March Mantel

Hi friends! We have made it to March already. Can you believe it? Today, I'm going to share with you my new Spring into March Mantel.
I know I told you I am normally a "set it and forget it" type of decorator. When I started trying to figure out a place for the Book Page Butterfly Garland to go, however, I knew I had to change things up on the mantel. I kept the scripture sign in the middle, but everything else changed.
On the left side of the mantel, I placed the Free DIY Cherry Blossoms in a tall, chippy vase that my mom gave me on one of her recent trips to town. A book with a turquoise binding and a white candle on a silver holder round out the grouping.
On the right side, a natural looking bunny has found his home in a bed of burlap on a pewter pedestal dish under a cloche. Next to that, a thrifted insulator in a beautiful turquoise color balances out the book on the other side.
I'm loving the little pops of color on the mantel. They tie in well with the color scheme I have going on in the Springtime Side Table Vignette on the other side of the room.
Well, that's what my spring mantel will look like for a while. Thanks so much for stopping by. Your visits always make me smile, but especially today. You see, it's my birthday. And I love spending my birthday with friends and family. Hope your day is wonderful!

  13. I missed your birthday :(. Happy belated one, and I hope your year is filled with only good things.

I'm a set it and forget it type person too. You're way ahead of me with the mantel decorating. I'm lucky my Christmas stockings are down lol. Good job as always!

  18. I'm pretty much a "set and leave" decorator, too, except for 2 shelves I have, one in the kitchen and one in the living room which I try to change every week when I dust. I try to decorate them with things that have to do with the season. I see most of my things are the same height, and want to change that some. Perhaps pedestals would help. I love the idea of putting the bunny in the glass display! And the butterfly garland. I do photos of the birthday person sometimes, too. Visiting from Diana Rambles Pin Me.
