Casual Citrus Centerpiece

Nothing says "spring" to me quite like daffodils The daffies have been in stores here for a while now and I've been dying to bring some home with me. This weekend, I finally purchased some at my local Trader Joe's where they were $1.29 a bunch. A bargain! They are so cheery and happy. I couldn't wait to put them on my table and ended up creating this Casual Citrus Centerpiece and tablescape.
My guys love buying the vintage sodas at Trader Joe's and we've amassed a collection of bottles. I went ahead and removed some of the labels, as I was planning on placing my daffodils in them. However, as I started putting them in the bottles, I thought they might look even cuter in the Vintage Orange Cream Soda carrier. I love the punch of color from the box and from bunching the daffodils all together.
I spread a piece of creamy white burlap on the table, then figured I might as well add a little more citrus-like colors around the flowers. I pulled out a few lemons and oranges and scattered them down the center of the table too. I finished things off with my white plates along with some green, yellow and white napkins. That's it! Easy peezy, lemon squeezy! (as my daughter always says)

So, it's nothing fancy, but it did make for a fun, whimsical tablescape. I could see it being perfect for a springtime barbecue or a casual get together with friends. Thanks so much for stopping by! Oh, and just so you know, I have a new Bloglovin' button on my side bar, if you would like to follow me that way.

  9. I love using the ordinary as part of a table setting, especially if it has anything to do with bottles! The way you have repurposed your orange creme soda bottles is perfect. Isn't Trader Joe's the best for flowers?

  10. I have been buying the daffodils at TJs for a few weeks now, but last week's never bloomed. I was so bummed.

I found your through the blog hop and I clicked because of your blog title.

I am finding that blogging is making me "pose" my house to perfection- putting out flowers, fluffing the pillows and creating projects to blog about.

    Have a great weekend.
