Food for the Soul ~ Psalm 63:1-5

Aren't the Psalms just beautiful? They are a healing balm to my heart and lift my spirits when I'm feeling overwhelmed. They remind me of God's power and majesty and His love for all of creation, especially His children. Though we may be going through literal or spiritual droughts, He breathes life and pours Living Water into our parched places.  Here is one of the Psalms that touched me most recently.

"O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you,
in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.

I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you."
Psalm 63:1-5

Of all the posts I do in a week, these Food for the Soul posts are my favorites. Though I'll be hosting another party here tomorrow, I didn't want the week to go by without some inspiration from the One who inspires all things. May you be blessed this week, dear friends!
