Sweet Mandarin Salad
1/4 cup vegetable oil (I used olive oil)
2 Tbsp. sugar
Dash of Tabasco sauce
2 Tbsp. cider vinegar ( I used Apple Cider Vinegar)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 head iceberg lettuce
1/4 head romaine lettuce ( I used about 2 romaine hearts instead of the 2 lettuces)
1/4 cup bacon bits or crumbled bacon
1/4 cup sliced almonds
2 green onions sliced
1 can mandarin oranges (drained)
Combine dressing ingredients first and allow to chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Assemble the salad and wait to pour the dressing over until just before serving. Toss to coat evenly. Serve immediately.
Tangy Oven BBQ Chicken and a simple pasta. It really is a favorite in this house. The first time I had it at a church potluck, I knew I had to have the recipe. It always puts a smile on my face. Are there any must-have potluck recipes that you have continued to make over the years? I'd love to hear what they are!
