Here we are! July 1st! I can hardly believe it. June was a crazy busy month for the Higby household. It started off with lots of baseball games and practices and a few soccer games thrown in for good measure. We have been adjusting to life with our new feline friend, Oliver. I am happy to report that he and Scamp are
not trying to eat each other friends now. In fact, they seem to like wrestling with each other and playing tag. Then they crash for a nap in close proximity.
We had a great week at our church's VBS where we worshiped God, played lots of games and did some fun crafts with about 1200 other kiddos. My son spent the last week of June at my parents' house where he hung out with my dad, watched movies and basically got a lot of one-on-one attention by his sweet Nana and Papa. We went there this weekend to pick him up and thoroughly enjoyed our very short visit, oh...and the Blue Sky Burgers and Nothing Bundt Cakes. If you follow me on Instagram, I posted some teaser pics of these two delicious food establishments.
On the blog this month, I posted a little less than I have in the past, just wanting a little bit more relaxed schedule for the summer. (You can relate, right?) In spite of my lighter load of posts, you all were so kind to pay me some Pinterest love. I thought I'd do a June Rewind to bring out some of the most popular pins from Posed Perfection from last month. Just a warning...most were food related ;-)
The one post that was pinned most from June was my Peanut Butter Banana Fudge Pops. They are looking pretty good to me right now. I may need to make up another batch today!
Berry Sweet Skewers scored pretty high probably because of July 4th right around the corner!
My Under the Sea Tablescape got lots of fun exposure as I shared some creative ways to use shells and vintage treasures in your summer entertaining.
I froze some of my Luscious Lemon Cookie Bars to take to my "lemon loving" mom this weekend. It was a favorite of hers too.
I gained some brownie points with my hubby on Father's Day for making his mom's Chocolate Angel Food Cake and I think y'all liked how easy this recipe was too.
This last one, Summer Fun Flip Flops, was technically from May (31st), but I thought I'd put it in here just for kicks and maybe to remind you of a fun craft to do with your tween girls this summer.
So, that was the June Rewind. I hope you enjoyed looking back with me. I'm excited to get going on July's posts. I hope you all have a great week spending time with family and friends! I'm so grateful for you coming by to visit me each day.
I'm linking up at some of these great parties and
