I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get in the mood for fall crafting again. Using some of my favorite materials, burlap and rickrack, I recently got to work on this Burlap and Rickrack Sunflower Frame.
I had the burlap and rickrack(not shown) already in my craft stash, so all I needed to purchase for this was the simple wooden frame ($1.00) and the blingy sunflower. (Ignore the paint, please. I thought I was going to be painting a chevron pattern, but went the lazy easier route and glued on rickrack.)
To make the frame, simply turn the wooden frame over onto the burlap and cut around it. Apply ModPodge liberally over the front of wooden frame. Firmly press the burlap onto the frame. Allow to dry completely.
Trim around the edges for clean lines and Cut an "X" in the center of the frame to cut out the center of the burlap.
After measuring the extra large rickrack, adhere with hot glue.
Finally, add on the finishing touch... a blingy sunflower!
