Gridiron Grub Chili Cheese Fries

Fall is here and that means the great sport of football will be taking over the televisions in many of our homes. If not on the TV, you may be watching from the sidelines as you cheer on your favorite peewee league, high school or college team. You know what goes hand in hand with football? Manly food...tailgating food...Gridiron Grub Chili Cheese Fries.

Today's recipe is super simple...just 3 ingredients and the brick of 'processed American cheese food' is not one of them.

Here's what you'll need: frozen french fries (or you could make your own), can of chili and a tub of Sharp Cheddar Pub Cheese.

Gridiron Grub Chili Cheese Fries

1 bag frozen french fries
1 can chili with beans
1 tub Sharp Cheddar Pub Cheese

Prepare french fries as directed. In medium saucepan, combine chili and cheese. Cook on low to medium until heated through. Remove fries from oven. Spoon chili-cheese mixture over a serving of fries and top with shredded cheese and/or chopped onions or peppers.

Make this for a hearty snack for the football lovers in your home. It's quick and easy and will most likely earn you the MVP award this season! I can see it're getting carried around on the shoulders of your family members chanting,"Mom's #1, Mom's #1..." Well, we can dream, can't we?

I'm linking up at some of these great parties and
