August 2013 Rewind

Happy Labor Day! I hope you are enjoying time with family and friends today. We're on a mini-vacation with just our little family squeezing out the very last bit of vacation before our fall schedule gets into full swing. In case you missed any of the happenings around here last month, here's an August 2013 Rewind of my most viewed posts.

Starting in the bottom left corner and going counter-clockwise (I'm feeling a little crazy!), is my Confetti "Chicken" Salad, which isn't really made out of chicken, but turkey ;-)
Next is a Burlap Rickrack Sunflower Frame that was inspired by one I saw at Hobby Lobby. This was a fun project that didn't cost much to make.

Egg-Free Zucchini Cake had me a bit bewildered, but it turned out fabulous and moist. It is still being requested by my kiddos today.

I had no idea that this next post would hit on such a touchy subject. Apparently, my Knowing When to Toss Out Old Spices post was featured on a couple of big blogs and was pinned a whole bunch. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who keeps things way past their freshness date. :-) *MOST PINNED

Everyone loves a "copycat" recipe. This Copycat KFC Coleslaw is one of my hubby's favorites.

I made an Orange Sweater Pumpkin Vase from a yard sale sweater and thrifted fishbowl. Such an easy project! *MOST GOOGLE+ SHARED
Finally, there was the Cookie Butter Frosted Pumpkin Bars. Boy, oh boy, these were tasty! We plowed through them and I'm already looking forward to when we make these bars again.

That just about wraps up the month of August. Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting me. Although I don't get to respond to each and every comment you leave, please know that I read them all. Your kind and encouraging words truly make my heart smile and keep me going with this blogging thing when life gets hard. You are treasured!

I'm linking up at some of these great parties and

  4. I'm your neighbor on Imparting Grace. Such great info on your post...I have to admit, I'm someone who holds onto spices a bit too long. But I've gone to some homes (they shall remain nameless, ha ha) and I think they have been there since the beginning of time! So this is needed information for all of us. I'm passing it on.

Thank you so much for stopping by to leave a comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to write your words of encouragement. Your sweet notes make my heart smile! Have a delightful day!
