Cheddar Ranch Drop Biscuits

Pssst...I don't want to say this too loudly, but it looks like summer is slowing bowing out around here. We have a bit of a break in the temperature after some storms moved through the area last night. I don't know about you, but when it gets a little cooler and we have rainy nights, I love a hot bowl of soup and some bread. Last night, I made these 4-ingredient Cheddar Ranch Drop Biscuits to go with some beef and barley soup...basically my Vegetable Beef Soup with barley instead of pasta.

Here's what you need: all purpose baking mix, ranch dressing mix, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, and a little melted butter for the tops.

Cheddar Ranch Drop Biscuits
(makes about 10)

2 cups All Purpose Baking Mix
3-4 teaspoons Ranch dressing mix
2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Tbsp. melted butter

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix together all ingredients except butter. Drop dough 2 inches apart on greased pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and lightly brush butter on the tops of the biscuits.
Packed with flavor, these biscuits are a cinch to make and you probably have everything you need to make them at home. Next time you're serving up a tasty dinner and you want a little bread to go along with it, try making the easy biscuits instead.
