Orange Sweater Dollar Store Vase

It's time for another installment in the "It all started with this yard sale find". This has been a really fun challenge to see how many projects I can make from this awesome yard sale find. Today's craft is an Orange Sweater Dollar Store Vase.
Decorating for fall doesn't have to break the bank. See how easy this is to make.

Here's what you need: a sweater and a plastic vase from dollar store. That's it.

I cut one of the sleeves off of the sweater about 1 inch longer than the height of the vase.

Slip the vase into the sleeve until the cuff of the sweater is flush with the bottom of the vase.
Fold over the top edge and tuck in on the outside of the vase. No sewing required!

Fill with fresh or faux flowers or twigs to reflect the season.

I'm working on "fall-i-fying" my entryway table and I think this sweet vase is going to be a part of that arrangement. I just took down the box of fall decorations from the attic today, so I need to do an inventory to see what I want to do in this space this year. Here is what it looked like last year. Have you started decorating your home with fall accents?
Speaking of fall...have you seen the little fall "bling" on my sidebar? I'm joining forces with several bloggers to bring you the biggest "It's Fall Y'all" link party of the year! It will actually run for 7 weeks and you can link up your fall recipes and projects each Saturday to be seen on 10 different blogs! That's some serious exposure! It starts this Saturday, Sept. 21st! Hope to see you there!
