Food for the Soul ~ Psalm 51:10

Happy Sunday to you! I'm so glad you've stopped by for a visit. Today's Bible verse is from Psalm 51:10. I love going to this book of the Bible because I find great comfort in the words of David. Although he messed up many times, he humbly approached our Heavenly Father and was still considered to be a man after God's own heart.

It is so easy to get stuck with the same negative mindset over problems that never seem to go away. I would use the broken record analogy, but there may be some of you that have never listened to one. (I may be dating myself a bit there.) Whenever I'm feeling like I need an attitude adjustment and a reality check, this song that we used to sing in our youth group comes to mind.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from thy presence, O Lord.
Take not thy Holy Spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation,
and renew a right spirit within me.

Have a blessed week, my friends. May the joy of the Lord be your strength!
