Spring Felt Flower Wreath

Hi Friends. Hope you had a good weekend. With the new warmer weather, I've been getting inspired to do some spring decorating. I finally put together a wreath last week after finding the green fuzzy wreath form at Wal-Mart on sale for $3.00. Although I had gone there to pick up a few other things, ideas for this Spring Felt Flower Wreath started flooding my brain when I saw the form in the floral craft department.

I went home and began crafting up some felt flowers from whatever bright colored felt scraps I could find. I made several different styles of flowers...all with just felt and a glue gun.

After attaching the various flowers to the fuzzy green wreath form with hot glue, I cut some leaves out of two different shades of green and tucked them in, and secured with more hot glue behind the blooms.
Spring Felt Mini Bunting
To finish off the wreath, I made a small bunting from bright pink felt glued onto some stiff white felt I had left over from our Photo Booth props. Then, I stuck some scrapbook sticker letters onto the triangles and glued them to a length of green and white baker's twine.

I love how bright and cheerful the wreath turned out...such happy colors! It's hardly waterproof, so I'll be bringing it inside when we get our spring showers or when the wind is whipping (as it usually does here in Texas).

All told, this wreath only cost $3.00, since the wreath form was on sale. I love a bargain! I'm tempted to go back and pick up a couple more for next year's holiday decorating.
