Did you know that when you fear God you put a smile on His face? John Piper describes the fear of the Lord as "the fear of straying from Him," which "expresses itself in taking refuge in God." He longs for you to take refuge under the cover of His wings and to trust in His unfailing love.
We've been talking with our Women of Grace girls about what it means to fear God. We usually associate fear with driving away something or someone. But fearing the Lord actually draws us deeper into His loving arms. Oh, that we would always know the "fear of straying from Him"! May the joy of the LORD be your strength and your song this week!
