Paper Bag Wrapped Flowers ~ Just a Little Something

Hi Friends! Hope you enjoyed the nice long weekend. Ours was pretty rainy most of the time, but we did manage to have a couple of fun outings... just the girls. Hubby and my son were up in Oklahoma catching up with an old friend and watching a few college baseball games at the Jr. College World Series. From what I heard, it was a good, albeit wet, time. As May comes to a close, many of you may be scrambling for last minute gifts for teachers or just a little something to thank someone for touching your life. These Paper Bag Wrapped Flowers are the perfect "just a little something" gift.

Need a small gift for someone? Try wrapping a simple garden flower in a brown bag tied off with raffia. Frugal and sweet!

We recently wrapped up a few of these for sweet teachers in our lives before the last day of classes. I just love the unassuming packaging on these.

The recipients can choose what to do with the flowers - allow them to continue blooming in the plastic pot or transplant them to their own flower gardens, where they'll think of you each time they see it.

Here's what you need: lunch-size brown paper bags, raffia, small flower in disposable pot, chalkboard tag, and optional sandwich-sized plastic ziplock bag(not shown).

Take the brown paper bag and fold down the top two to three times.

Set the flower pot inside the ziplock bag and then inside the paper bag. The ziplock will keep the moisture from the bottom of the plant away from the paper. Tie raffia around the bag, loosely cinching it in around the bottom of the flowers. Attach the tag to the raffia band.

Deliver to your favorite recipients as a sweet little thank you for all they do to make your life easier.

These would also make adorable table decorations for backyard cookouts, graduation parties, or even casual get togethers. Frugal and cute... my favorite combination!
