Food for the Soul ~ Psalm 1:1-2

Hi Friends. I'm not sure if you noticed, but I pretty much took off all of March with blogging. Oh, I was able to continue to do the weekly Creative Ways Link Parties, because you all do most of the work on those. ;-)  Of all the posts I missed doing... recipes, crafts, tips... my Sunday Food for the Soul posts were the ones I most hated to let slip. Unfortunately, with illness, company at my house, a trip to Arizona, and a trip to Round Top, I was just not able to put any time towards Posed Perfection or the posts. But, I am happy to be back here with you today, sharing a precious gem from the Bible, Psalm 1:1-2.

The kids and I memorized the first several verses of Psalm 1 back in January. These particular verses point to the progression of sin in our lives from nonchalantly walking with sinners, to standing with them and their causes, to finally sitting in their places... nice and comfy. It's an ugly thing to witness, let alone experience it ourselves. I love that the antidote and even the preventative to this is spending time in God's Word, meditating on it. May your heart be encouraged this week by the reading of His Word, and the joy that comes from knowing Jesus!
