Food for the Soul ~ Hebrews 10:23

Hello, sweet friends! How are you doing on this last day of January? I hope that your 2016 is off to a wonderful start. How are you doing with your New Year's resolutions? Are you wavering in your dedication to them? Well, resolutions will come and go, but nothing is as steadfast as the love of the Lord. And nothing should motivate us more than knowing He is always faithful! I pray you know His deep, deep love for you.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

Creative Ways Link Party #91 and Features

Can you believe this is the last Creative Ways Link Party of January? Oh, my... time is flying by! It seems like Wednesdays roll around before I am even able to get posts out of my own. I'm going to try to do better in February. Thanks for stopping by here to share with all of us each week!

Before you show us what you've been working on, here were some of the posts that I really loved from last week's party:

There's something magical about these little DIY Mini Hanging Terrariums by Home to Cottage... almost like a little fairy garden.

Need a Game Day appetizer to thrill the masses? These Chili Cheese Poppers by The Painted Hinge look delicious!

I love how Sadie Seasongoods took a cast away and made something special in this post, From Cutting Board to Trendy Tray.

We always have Monkey Bread for Christmas morning too. But Cream Cheese-Stuffed Cinnamon Monkey Bread by Lamberts Lately are over-the-top yummy!

One Mile Homestyle showed us how to Add Farmhouse Style with DIY Grain Sack Pillows. Simply adorable!

If there's anything that could make me jump off the "clean eating" train, it's this Slow Cooker Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake by Simply Stacie. Wowzers!

Food for the Soul ~ Psalm 27:13,14

Hello, dear friends. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I shared this Bible verse on my Instagram last week, along with the beautiful tulips, but I couldn't resist sharing it with you also. On Thursday, at my women's Bible study at church, the speaker wove this verse into the tapestry of her beautiful talk on Abraham. This verse touched my heart and encouraged me. I hope it does the same for you... meeting you where you are and giving you confidence that with God, nothing is impossible.

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! - Psalm 27:13,14

Have a beautiful week, my friends! May we all have eyes to see the goodness of the Lord!

Creative Ways Link Party #90 and Features

Hi Friends! Hope you've had a great week! We've been battling colds at our house, which is always a bummer. I'm ready to just get over the junk and feel better. I'm sure there are many of you out there who are feeling the same way. I hope you're on the mend real soon too! Perhaps you need a little diversion...a creative diversion. It's time to share what you've been working on and to get inspired by others! Welcome to the 90th Creative Ways Link Party!

Here are some of the awesome posts that grabbed my attention from the last party:

Because one should always start with veggies, the first feature is this delicious Chopped Spinach Pomegranate Salad by Cooking on the Front Burner. I am mesmerized by the beautiful colors in this salad! I can only imagine all the health benefits!

Giggles Galor shared this Motivational Water Bottle with Fruit Infused Water. What a fantastic way to remind yourself to drink more throughout the day! I have the hardest time getting all my water in the winter.

Shibley Smiles brought this scrumptious Chicken Empanada Recipe to the party. This would be a perfect game-day appetizer!

Over the Apple Tree brought these adorable DIY Photo Blocks to the party. I'm thinking this would make a pretty sweet Valentine's Day gift for grandparents!

Jam Hands shared these yummy Milk Chocolate Mint Nanaimo Bars. I love that they are no-bake. We'll definitely be trying a batch of these!

I am smitten with this Hexagon Side Table that Love Create Celebrate brought to the party. It's kinda retro and modern at the same time. Very fun!

Food for the Soul ~ Great is Thy Faithfulness

Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you've had a wonderful week. My heart is so full today, rejoicing in the faithfulness of my God. Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. Through all the years, I've seen the faithful hand of God direct us, discipline us and wrap us up in His loving embrace. He has sustained us and drawn us closer to Himself as we have grown closer together. We sang the hymn, Great Is Thy Faithfulness, at our wedding... and it rings true even today. My heart swells with thanksgiving whenever I sing the last stanza seen here.

Wishing you all a beautiful week ahead!

Creative Ways Link Party #88 and Features

Happy New Year! Welcome to the first Creative Ways Link Party of 2016! I'm truly thrilled you are here to party with us! Whew! With all those exclamation points, it looks like I've had a bit too much coffee today ;-) Well, at any rate, I am excited that you chose to spend part of your week sharing what you've been working on and being inspired by all the awesome bloggers who link up to this party.

Before we get started, here were some of my favorite posts from the last party:

Fabby's Living brought this gorgeous Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake to share. I believe she has a group of ladies over every month for a rosary luncheon and always serves them something delicious on a beautifully dressed table. What a wonderful way to connect with friends!

Girly Pretties shared her adorable Fairy Advent Calendar with us. I love how intricate each of the containers is.

I am drooling over this Chicken Pot Pie from Don't Sweat the Recipe. I like that she made it without any 'cream of' soups.

Simply Stacie shared this Sea Salt & Olive Oil Scrub at the party. My dry winter skin could definitely benefit from the use of this! I bet it would be great with your favorite essential oil added to it too!

My jaw drops every time I see something that Sweet and Savory by Shinee brings to the party. Not only is her photography beautiful, but she always shares yummy recipes like these Funfetti Macarons.

Last, but not least, Lynda Creates shared these cute Owl Stuffies. How fun would these be to whip up for Valentine's Gifts?!?

Food for the Soul ~ Psalm 105:1-4

Happy New Year, friends! I hope you've had a wonderful holiday season. As we begin 2016, I felt it was only right to start off with giving thanks to the Lord. He has shown kindness upon kindness to me this past year, especially through some painful trials. While I don't have a specific "word" for this new year, my heart keeps reflecting on the notion of counting. Whether it is counting the blessings He has given us, or 'counting it all joy' through the trials, I know He is faithful to bring to fruition that which He has planned. (His plans are to prosper us, not harm us. ~ Jeremiah 29:11)

Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! Psalm 105:1-4

Also, I saw this post on Facebook this week about asking the LORD to "make it count" for something when we encounter troubles or have to go through trials. I thought it was a wonderful way show trust in our Heavenly Father's plans. He is good all the time, and worthy of all our praise! Here's to a wonderful 2016!
